Redefining laptop standards and driving technological boundaries has never been more dominant here at the Metabox research centre. And the embodiment of this ethos is truly epitomised in the Prime-XR's state-of-the-art cooling technology. Painstakingly dissected, we re-designed the Prime-XR heatsink at each heat-reduction level (plate, coolant, pipe, fin and fan) with remarkable precision. The cooling system covers 60% of the Prime-XR's total chassis volume, utilising every square mm of available space internally to deliver an incomprehensible 330W of sustained and repeatable cooling capacity.
Critical to this capability is the orientation of the Prime-XR's expansive copper heat plates that uniquely span the bulk of the centre of the heatsink, fused directly atop nine independently routed copper heat pipes constructed with ultra-wide ducting and incredible copper density. This abundant density of copper and its particular orientation enables the Prime-XR to operate at outstanding levels of stability, which is at the core of its extraordinary level of repeatable class-leading performance. Of equal importance is the unique integration of the Prime-XR's two ultra-powerful 59-Blade high-velocity Liquid-Crystal Polymer fans, which operate at an immense 6W power rating each, producing over 2.4 times the air capacity of traditional laptop cooling units. Pivotal to the extraction of this high-capacity air volume are two sets of ultra-deep rear radiator fins that enable an uninterrupted air throughput that's substantially more seamless than the average cooling concept. The synergy of these thermal technologies is at the core of what makes the all-new Prime-XR our most advanced laptop yet.
High-Powered 6W, 59-Blade Fans
Flanking each end of the heatsink assembly are two large ultra-high-velocity and high-powered 12V Liquid-Crystal Polymer fans, which operate at an immense 6W power rating each, producing over 2.4 times the air capacity of traditional laptop cooling units, delivering phenomenal thermal output.
Dense & Expansive Copper Plates
The Prime-XR's expansive and densely packed copper heat plates uniquely span the bulk of the centre of the heatsink, which increases the heat absorption area of both the CPU and GPU by an incredible 11% compared to previous generation designs.
A Tremendous Heat Pipe Array
The Prime-XR features nine independently routed copper heat pipes constructed with ultra-wide ducting and incredible copper density, which are extruded in a unique formation to wrap around both ends of the high-powered fans for the ultimate heat-dissipative quality.
58% Rear-Vent Fin Length
Pivotal to the extraction of the 6W Fans' high-capacity air volume are two sets of ultra-deep rear radiator fins that have been extended by an incredible 58% on previous generation designs, enabling an uninterrupted air throughput that's substantially more seamless than the average cooling concept.

MUXed Technology.
The Prime-XR uniquely integrates a hardware-level graphics switch, referred to in the industry as a MUX switch, which, when activated, enables the Prime-XR to dedicate (dGPU Technology) all graphics commands through the NVIDIA graphics engine rather than routing graphics commands through the built-in Intel graphics engine before reaching the display output. In short, this means that the Prime-XR has a direct link from the NVIDIA graphics engine to the display, reducing transmission latency and resulting in an incredible increase in graphical rendering performance, with up to a 15% increase in FPS (Frames Per Second) when compared against the traditional non-dedicated graphics system (Hybrid Graphics Technology).

In a Hybrid Graphics layout, which is the standard in laptops today, the NVIDIA graphics commands go through the Intel graphics engine before outputting to the display. As a result, this inherently comes with a degree of latency.

Despite the Prime-XR being almost 2 centimetres thinner and an incredible 1.6 kilos lighter than its bigger brother, the Prime-X, it phenomenally fuses a battery that's even larger by 2 Watt-Hour, totalling an immense 99 Watt-Hours. What's most remarkable is the integration of battery-optimised hardware that distinctly separates it from the Prime-X; with Intel's latest i9-14900HX at the helm, CPU power operates as low as 45W or an immense 52% lower than the Prime-X desktop processor and fused with MS Hybrid Technology, graphics rendering is entirely processed by Intel's power-efficient UHD Graphics engine, further conserving energy by a long margin.
